RAY E. ROBINSON

 

Ray E. Robinson, 63, Centralia, MO passed away Friday, August 9, 2024, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, MO surrounded by his family. He was born February 7, 1961, in Mexico, MO the son of the late Joseph and Shirley (Miller) Robinson. On April 14, 1990, he was united in marriage to Kristi (Mathews) Robinson. They met in 1987, while Kristi was working at DC'S in Centralia, MO.

 

In addition to his wife Kristi of 34 years, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one son Tyler Robinson of Centralia, MO; one daughter Marla Robinson and her partner Trevor Hermon of Columbia, MO; two sisters Louise Wyatt and her husband Robert of Columbia, MO and Janis Robinson and her husband Rick Barbour of West Des Moines, IA; his grand dog Archer; two brother in laws Ken Mathews and his wife Virginia of Thompson, MO and Klint Mathews and his wife Jessica of Centralia, MO; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents, one brother Dale Robinson preceded him in death.

 

Ray’s parents started Robinson Heating & Air Conditioning in 1961. Ray worked as a child for his father along with his brother Dale. As kids they would work in crawl spaces for their father Joe and once even got shocked by a jolt of electricity from a drill. In 1991, Ray and Kristi purchased the business from Ray’s parents. After Ray’s health declined, his wife Kristi continues to own and operate the business to this day with the help of her brother Klint. He enjoyed music, being outdoors and loved spending time and talking to everyone he met at all the local businesses.
