ANNA MARIE HUTCHENS Marie Hutchens, 98, Centralia, MO, passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at the Neighborhoods in Columbia, MO. She was born September 19, 1925, in Centralia, MO, the daughter of the late Peter and Amy (Shock) Denham. In May of 1944 she was united in marriage to Nelson Ray Hutchens who preceded her in death. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one son Ron Hutchens and his wife Rhonda of Columbia, MO; two daughters Patty Berndt and her husband James of Centralia, MO and Sue Kribbs of Centralia, MO; one brother Bill Denham of Centralia, MO; seven grandchildren Yvonne Berndt, Derek Hutchens, Matthew Cottrill, Jeremy Kribbs, Erica Shaffer, Cory Hutchens and Deanne Hutchens; ten great grandchildren Payton, Benjamin, Alexis, Cailynn, Bryce, Cameron, Brendan, Sierra, Will and Corielle; a daughter in law Georgia Hutchens of Kearney, MO; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband, one son James Ray Hutchens, two grandchildren Donnie Kribbs and Scott Hutchens, two brothers and four sisters preceded her in death. Marie first worked at Chance Elementary School in the cafeteria and later retired from Boone Hospital Center from the Dietary Department. She was a member of Centralia First Christian Church and enjoyed word search puzzles and jigsaw puzzles. She loved to cross-stitch and enjoyed making Christmas stockings for all of her family. Marie attended all sporting events for her children and grandchildren and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs fan. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Monday, October 2, 2023, at the Oliver Funeral Home in Centralia, MO. Interment will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until service time on Monday, October 2, 2023, at the Oliver Funeral Home in Centralia, MO.
