HAROLD DEAN “SQUIRRELLY” BEASLEY
Harold Dean “Squirrelly” Beasley, 71, Centralia, MO passed away Saturday, August 20, 2022, at Centerpointe Hospital in Independence, MO. Harold was born July 7, 1951, in Audrain County, MO the son of the late Henry Allen Beasley and Hazel Lee (Watts) Beasley. He went to Centralia High and was a 3-sport athlete. He was class president of 1969. He continued athletics in College at CMSU and Southwest Missouri State University.
While attending SMSU, he met his longtime wife of 46 years, Jacqueline Beasley, who survives of the home. He had 3 daughters, Breanne Beasley of Centralia, MO, Ashley Beasley of Willard, MO, and Jenna Skouby (Matt) of Independence, MO; two brothers Thomas “Tom” Beasley (Lou) of Boonville, MO and William “Bill” Beasley (Barb) of Hallsville, MO; two sisters Martha Ann “Marti” Cooper of Hallsville, MO and Nancy Femmer of Centralia, MO; he would always follow his 3 grandkids activities as well, William, Jack, and Dakota Skouby. In addition to his parents, one sister Patricia “Pat” Sexton and one brother Orma Eugene “Gene” Beasley preceded him in death.
Harold had always been very active in the community. He worked for A.B. Chance Company/Hubbell Power Systems for 40+ years. He scouted for the Centralia Panther Football team for over 20 years. He was a Park Board member for a number of years, advocating for those with disabilities. Harold never met a stranger and loved the Centralia community. He enjoyed bowling, and trout fishing at Bennett Springs. Even after his daughters had graduated from Centralia HS, he continued to support Centralia Athletics. Once a Panther, always a Panther.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am Friday, August 26, 2022, at the Oliver Funeral Home in Centralia, MO. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, August 25, 2022, at the Oliver Funeral Home in Centralia, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to the Centralia Park Board, CHS Athletics or to the Spina Bifida Association of St. Louis, c/o Oliver Funeral Home, P.O. Box 125, Centralia, MO 65240.
