DOROTHY E. WRIGHT
Dorothy E. Wright, 73, Centralia, MO passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at the Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, MO. She was born February 13, 1949, in Lentner, MO the daughter of the late Russell and Alline (Timbrook) Ayer. On June 7, 1969, she was united in marriage to Robert Wright.
In addition to her husband Robert of 52 years, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by five children Angela Reynolds of Liberty, MO, Russell Wright and his wife Shannon of Perryville, MO, Cathy Smith and her husband Greg of Topeka, KS, Joni Wahl of Columbia, MO and Kristy Wright of Columbia, MO; five sisters Velma Stokes and her husband Charlie of Macon, MO, Charlotte Darling and her husband Johnny of Shelbina, MO, Louise Million and her husband Harvey of Centralia, MO, Alice Kuntz of Shelbina, MO and Jeanetta Westhoff and her husband Tom of Shelbina, MO; her grandchildren Samantha, Abbey, Alex, Dakota, Heather, Katlynn, Allyson, Brayden, Summer, Austin, Haley, Quintin, Joshua, Jesse, Sydney, Zoey, Joseph, Justin, Sean and Bryanna; her great grandchildren Jayden, Avery, Carter, Bryson, Everett, Ethan, Bonnie, Oliver, Hunter, McKenzie, Easton, Emarie, Ellianna, Junior, Kinley, Kohen and Kolby; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and many dear friends.
Dorothy first worked as a cashier for Eastgate IGA and later for Moser Foods in Columbia, MO and finally as a homemaker. She was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Centralia, MO and enjoyed bingo and cooking. She was an excellent cook and even made her own cookbook. Dorothy loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Funeral mass will be 11:00 am Monday, January 9, 2023, at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Centralia, MO. Interment will be 2:00 pm Monday, January 9, 2022, at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, MO. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Sunday, January 8, 2023, at the Oliver Funeral Home in Centralia, MO with a Rosary to be held at 7:00 pm.
