Billy Willis, Sr.

BILLY J. WILLIS, SR. Billy J. Willis, Sr. 88, Sturgeon, MO passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at the Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, MO. He was born January 17, 1935, in Sturgeon, MO the son of the late Robert and Bertie (Sims) Willis. On May 28, 1982, he was united in marriage to Donna (Trumbo) Willis. In addition to his wife Donna of 40 years, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one daughter Joyce Ward and her husband Kenneth of Centralia, MO; two sons Billy Willis, Jr. and his wife Cristy of Clark, MO, and Thomas Willis of Higbee, MO; nine grandchildren; several great and great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents, two infant sons, three brothers, and two sisters preceded him in death. Billy served his country in the Army National Guard. He worked for A.P. Green Refractory in Mexico, MO for 42 years. He was a member of the Early Ford V-8 Club of America and the Show-Me Ford Club. He enjoyed antique cars, swap meets, playing cards and working on things in his garage. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Monday, April 24, 2023, at the Oliver Funeral Home in Centralia, MO. Interment will be in the Mt. Horeb Cemetery in Sturgeon, MO. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until service time on Monday, April 24, 2023, at the Oliver Funeral Home in Centralia, MO.
