BETTY LOU WOOLFOLK


Betty Lou Woolfolk, 77, Centralia, MO passed away Sunday, March 9, 2025, at the University of Missouri Hospital & Clinics. She was born on December 19, 1947, the daughter of the late Leonard “Tex” Conkin and Lulu (Riebel) Conkin. On June 3, 1972, she was united in marriage to Gary Woolfolk.


In addition to her husband Gary of 52 years, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one son Nathaniel Woolfolk and his wife Callie of El Paso, TX; one daughter Maggie Thurston and her husband Adam of St. Louis, MO; three grandchildren Madeline Thurston, Liam Woolfolk and Lily Woolfolk; other relatives and many dear friends.


Betty first worked as a secretary for the Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney, then for MSTA Insurance and finally as a medical transcriptionist for Ellis Fischel Cancer Hospital in Columbia, MO. She was an active member of the Centralia Assembly of God Church and enjoyed reading, cross-stitch, puzzle books and spending time with her family.


Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Saturday, March 15, 2025, at the Oliver Funeral Home in Centralia, MO. Interment will be in the Centralia City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until service time on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at the Oliver Funeral Home in Centralia, MO.
